KNOW YOUR ARTISAN
Behind every weave is a name, a village, a lifetime.
Every saree on Atulya Karigari is made by a real person, with a real name, working in a real village. Not a factory. Not anonymous labour. A weaver you can now meet, read about, and choose to support.

Katan Banarasi, Kora Silk, Tissue BanarasiINTRODUCTION
Salaam! I am Md. Hussain from Mubarakpur, Uttar Pradesh. Born into a family of weavers, I once had to leave handloom for powerloom due to low demand, but my heart never stopped yearning for the rhythm of traditional weaving.
ABOUT THE ART
Banarasi weaving is a royal tradition, celebrated for its intricate zari work and luxurious Katan silk. Each thread I weave feels like a prayer, connecting me to generations past. Through Atulya Karigari, I have blended this ancient beauty with modern designs, making the Banarasi saree a timeless style statement once more.
HIS JOURNEY
Joining Atulya Karigari in 2020 brought back the dignity my art once held. Every saree I weave now reaches people who value heritage, reminding me that my hands carry forward not just fabric, but the blessings of my forefathers.
LEGACY
Atulya Karigari continues to carry forward the old tradition, ensuring Banarasi silk weaving shines for generations to come.
