KNOW YOUR ARTISAN
Behind every weave is a name, a village, a lifetime.
Every saree on Atulya Karigari is made by a real person, with a real name, working in a real village. Not a factory. Not anonymous labour. A weaver you can now meet, read about, and choose to support.

Md. Hussain
Katan Banarasi, Kora Silk, Tissue BanarasiINTRODUCTION
Salaam! I am Md. Hussain from Mubarakpur, Uttar Pradesh. Born into a family of weavers, I once had to leave handloom for powerloom due to low demand, but my heart never stopped yearning for the rhythm of traditional weaving.
ABOUT THE ART
Mubarakpur’s Banarasi Katan, Kora Silk, and Tissue Banarasi are treasures of Indian heritage, woven with fine silk and intricate zari. Through Atulya Karigari, I now bring these luxurious weaves back to life, offering the world fabrics that carry centuries of skill, patience, and royal elegance.
HIS JOURNEY
Since joining Atulya Karigari in 2021, I have returned to my true passion handloom weaving. Each creation feels like reclaiming a lost part of my soul, and seeing it appreciated fills me with pride for my heritage.
LEGACY
Atulya Karigari continues to safeguard the old tradition, preserving Mubarakpur’s Banarasi weaving art for the future.
