Namaste! We are the women artisans of Baleswar, Odisha. Together with Atulya Karigari, over 300 of us are weaving a new identity. After fulfilling our daily household chores, we dedicate our afternoons to bringing this beautiful craft to life.

Baleswar's Sabai Grass, often called the 'Golden Grass', is celebrated for its natural strength and flexibility. We hand-braid and weave this eco-friendly grass into beautiful, sustainable lifestyle products like baskets, mats, and planters, bringing nature's finest textures from our homes directly to yours.

Joining Atulya Karigari has completely transformed our lives. The afternoon hours that once went idle have now become a powerful source of financial independence. Balancing our homes while earning our own livelihood and supporting our families fills us with immense pride and confidence.

Through Atulya Karigari, we are safeguarding Baleswar's traditional weaving heritage, turning natural grass into sustainable art and ensuring a greener, plastic-free future for generations to come.
